When you apply for an ASEN event you provide us with certain bits of information about you, including your name, contact details, paper title, and some educational information.
Purpose and legal basis
ASEN keeps records of this data so that we can arrange events, publicise them, and fulfil the needs of the participant arrangement. The legal basis is fulfilment of an agreement or contract.
We will also communicate activities and events in the field of nationalism and ethnicity studies as legitimate interest has been shown in these kind of events and this is the legal basis.
ASEN keeps this data in a password protected DropBox folder. Your name and email are also kept on MailChimp for sending out information about the event and our newsletter. ASEN has a data processing agreement with MailChimp and DropBox to ensure your data is safe.
ASEN does not share your data with any third-parties unless there are explicitly tied to the event.
ASEN keeps this information until the event is finished and for one year after. Information in the public domain (for example in the ASEN conference programme) remains in perpetuity.
You can withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ button on any newsletter you have received or by emailing the ASEN Coordinator – email@example.com.
