Terms and conditions

  1. Refund Policy
    • Refunds for conference registration fees are available as follows:
      • Up to 28 days before the conference start date: 100% refund.
      • Up to 14 days before the conference start date: 50% refund.
      • Less than 14 days before the conference start date: No refunds.
    • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving a valid refund request.
  2. Venue Compliance
    • Conference attendees must comply with all rules, regulations, and guidelines established by the conference venue.
  3. Personal Property
    • Attendees are responsible for the security of their personal property while at the conference venues. ASEN does not accept liability for any loss, damage, or theft of property brought to the venue.
  4. Additional Requirements
    • Any additional requirements, such as accessibility accommodations or dietary needs, should be communicated to ASEN at conference@asen.ac.uk as soon as possible and no later than seven days before the conference start date.
  5. Programme Changes
    • ASEN reserves the right to make changes to the conference and its programme, including but not limited to alterations to the schedule, speakers, topics, or format. Efforts will be made to notify attendees of any significant changes in a timely manner.
  6. Cancellation by ASEN
    • ASEN reserves the right to cancel the conference at its sole discretion for any reason and at any time. In the event of cancellation, ASEN will refund registration fees in full. ASEN is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by attendees, such as travel or accommodation expenses.
  7. Force Majeure
    • ASEN shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms and conditions due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, government actions, labor disputes, or interruptions in transportation or communication networks. In such cases, ASEN will make reasonable efforts to inform attendees and, where possible, provide alternative arrangements.
  8. Governing Law
    • These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. By registering for the conference, attendees agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
  9. Acceptance of Terms
    • By registering for the Conference, attendees confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
