The conference will be held at the University of Loughborough in the Stewart Mason building.
The conference dinner will be in the city centre on Tuesday, 4th April – we will confirm the venue shortly.
There is a range of accommodation available in Loughborough, including on the university campus. We have found Premier Inn, which is located in the city centre, to be a good hotel chain.
Getting to the University of Loughborough
The best website for planning journeys by public transport in the UK is Traveline.info.
By train
The nearest train station is Loughborough, which is approximately 2.7km/1.7mi from the James France Building. Taxis are available at the station and cost around £6. Alternatively, there is a regular bus, Sprint, from the train station to the University. Alight from the bus at the Computer Science stop, which is approximately 200m from the venue.
Please note that there is a similarly-named station, Loughborough Junction, which is actually in London, not Loughborough. You want just ‘Loughborough’.
We strongly recommend buying train tickets in advance to get the best price – some advice on getting cheap tickets is available.
By air
The nearest airports to Loughborough are East Midlands Airport and Birmingham. A regular bus runs from East Midlands Airport to Loughborough, and there are trains from Birmingham Airport to Loughborough.
By car
Car parking is not available on campus, although there are municipal car parks in Loughborough town.
